Hello Jessica

I corresponded a bit with your brother Nick about your Alabama branch of the family. It isn't clear from your postings exactly what information you are looking for but I maintain a large database of Vibs (Vibert, Vibbert, vibbard and other variations) and your grandfather (whom I have listed as William Clinton Vibbert, b. 14 Jul 1914, d. 27 Feb 1986) is in that database.

I show William's parents as Lindsay Frank and Ida Lee (Eldridge) Vibbert and his grandparents as Charles B. C. and Laurinda C. (Emberton) Vibbert. Charles' parents were Hezekiah Ellington and Mary Catherine (Branham) Vibbert. Hezekiah was a Civil War vet. He was a son of James C. and Dicey D. (maiden name unknown) Vibbert. James was a son of George and Catherine (Mathews) Vibbert. George was from CT and married Catherine on 24 May 1792 in Nelson County, KY. We are not sure who George's parents were but he may have been the George, son of James Vibbert Jr. and his wife Mary (maiden name unknown), who was baptized in East Hartford CT on 12 Oct 1766.

Please let me know what you are looking for. I would also be happy to get any information on your branch of the family that you are able to provide.

Ann
