The Sara that is given in the 1920 census would have been Charles Hays' second wife. His first wife, and Susan Hays Vibbert's mother, was Alice Bish who died of cancer on September 8, 1896 and is buried in the Bish Cemetery on Boone Mountain, Horton or Fox Twp., Elk Co., PA. The children you mentioned could very well be a new family started by Charles Hays and his second wife, Sara. I did have a family listing sent to me by a descendent of Charles Vibbert and Susan Hays who lives in Ohio. However, I put it into the "to do" pile thinking I would input it into my database, and now I can't locate it. They did have at least three children, were then divorced, and I can tell you that some of Charles Eugene Vibbert and Susan Hays' progeny are still in the Ohio area.
The Elk County Vibbert family begins with a William Vibbert who was born March of 1835 and was married to Eunice Hutchins. I have no idea where they are originally from, but the surname Hutchins can be found with some frequency in Jefferson Co., PA. Many of the families that lived in Horton Twp., Elk Co., PA had their origins in Jefferson, Armstrong, or Clarion Co., PA, so it wouldn't surprise me.
I have a small family tree done on the descendents of William and Eunice (Hutchins)Vibbert. (I live in Elk County, PA.) They married so frequently into the families that I am descended from that I just kind of kept a running tab on them. It is by no means to be considered complete as I just add info as I find it, but it might be a good place to start. Let me know if you are interested.
