I am descended from their son Peter Viar, but remember in some sources the last name is spelled Via, Viar or even Vire(s).

Here is the info on Robert
b. 1790/1798 in NC or Franklin, VA
m. Nancy Francis Parker 1811/1819
d. 1877 Roane Co, TN

They had these children that I know of:

Peter Viar (I am descended from Peter)
b. 1812 or 1828 in North Carolina
m. Louisa Greer 30 APRIL 1835/1845 Floyd Co, VA
d. 1877 Dyer Co, TN

James Viar
Elizabeth Viar
William Namen Viar

Isaac Viar
b. 20 JAN 1832
d. 28 JUN 1918

Patsey Viar
George Washington Viar
Andrew Jackson Viar
Robert Viar

You can find even more information at www.ancestry.com in the free searches regarding this info.
I know this seems like a lot of children, but even my mother (a Viar) had 8 brothers and sisters!

Do you know which child you are descended from?
