Dear Vian searcher, Yes, there is a Vian in my family who went to Oklahoma! My great great grandmother, Maru Zelinda Counterman
(1832-1910) after the sudden death of my great great grandfather, Bolivar Cross, married Enos Vian ( 1825-1876?) a Civil War veteran. By this second marraige there was a son, Chauncy or Chancy Vian (born 11/11/1876). He would have been a half brother to my great grandfather, Jacob Cross.
Our family records clearly state that Chauncey went to Oklahoma. Does this help?
Family records also state that Enos Vian had a brother Liege Vian and a sister Rebecca Vian (1831-1924). She also married into my family and is my great great grandmother. Rebecca Vian married my great great grandfather L. Theodore Ehl from Germany.

Please respond. Richard E. Cross
