Dear Janice, I thank you for your input. I am a direct decendant of William (known as "Billy" in my family tradition) and Jane Perkins as well. Here's how:

Rebecca Vian (5/14/1831 - 1924) was my great great grandmother. (My father remembered her well as a boy. She was a tough old lady who fell chasing a chicken and as a result of her fall developed gangrene and died at a ripe old age. My dad was 23 at the time and recalled the event often to me.) Rebecca married L. Theodore Ehl (1827-1907)
who was from Frankfurt, Germany. They had 4 children: Ed Ehl, Lily Belle, Jennie, Ehl and Sarah Ellen (my great grandmother whom I knew well as a boy) She married Jacob Cross my great grandfather. Our family moved up to Michigan from Ohio/Indiana at the turn of the century. I have a lot of info on these folks as there were several marriages, etc. Also I am related to Enos Vian as well by marriage. When my great great grandmother, Mary Zelinda Counterman Cross was widowed young she married Enos Vian, a Civil War vet. I come from the first marriage. But by the second marraige there was a son, Chauncey Vian, who went to Oklahoma. I have touched base with this branch as well. I'd like to hear more from you. Sincerely, Richard Cross
