Pleased to meet you, Clifton.Thank you for your response.
Elizabeth Viall and James Stowers are my 6th great grandparents.
Their daughter Sarah (b 1743/4 Rumney Marsh, Chelsea, MA - d 1816 Prospect, ME) married Henry Black Sr (b 1739 Boston, MA - d 1817 Sandy Point, Stockton Springs, Waldo, ME)They married 7/1765 North Chelsea, MA.
Henry Sr Black, s/o Immigrant John Black and his 1st unk wife.
Their daughter Mary J 'Polly' Black (b 1778 Rumney Marsh, Chelsea, MA - d ????) married Jonathan Dow, (b 1773, Rye, NH - d 1834 Searsport, Waldo, ME) 9/15/1796 at Prospect, Waldo, ME.
Jonathan Dow, s/o Noah dow & Phebe Palmer.
And so it goes down thru a number of females - much harder to trace than the male ancestors.
I would be interested in whatever and as much detail as you can provide, along with principal sources.I am trying to have both facts and other more personal data to bring some personality to my ancestors at least back to the original immigrant of each line.A few generations back in the old county would be great also.
What is your lineage?Alaska is certainly a long way from New England.
Looking forward to continuing our sharing.
