John and Mary Vetters, immigrated in 1846

looking for any information on John and Mary Vetters, who came over from Germany in 1846 (according to the 1900 Vernon County, Missouri Census). John was born Dec. 1835 and Mary was born Sept. 1835, both in Germany. They were married around 1860 and had a son, Joseph, in 1861, in either Indiana or Illinois (conflicting information in censuses). I don't know where they were married and can't find them in any censuses until 1900 where they are in Vernon County, Missouri. Mary had 10 children, 9 living as of 1920. I can find four of their children, Joseph, William H., Frank and Emmett, all living in Vernon County, Missouri, in the 1900 Census. I'm looking for any information prior to 1900 - thanks in advance!
