George W Vest of Stokes county was my Great-Great Grandfather. He married Temperance Wall (AKA Tempy)
Together they had a son Al, a daughter Ella and a son Craven. I have recently started researching this side of my family and had trouble finding information on the parents of George Vest. I contacted Ella's last living child who told me that George was and illigitimate child. His father is believed to be a union soldier. I will post updates as I have them.
