I'm researching the Vesper family in Buffalo, NY. My GGGgrandparents are Frederick (b. 1819 Prussia, d. 1912 Buffalo, NY) and Sophia (b. 1823 Nassau, d. 1901 Cheektowaga, NY). They immigrated between 1846-47 and brought with them my GGgrandmother Wilhelmina (b. 1845 Hessen, d. 1918, Buffalo, NY).
In the US, they had 10 more children: Sophia (b. 1848); Louisa (b. 1849); Henry (b. 1852); Frederick (b. 1856); Philip (b. 1858); William (b. 1859); Charles (b. 1860); Mary (b. 1862): John (b. 1864); and George (b. 1871).
They had a general/small animal farm on French Road in Cheektowaga, NY for more than 40 years. It appears most of the family moved into Buffalo, and 2-3 sons remained working on the farm.
