Hi, Jay:

I have: Cornelia Vernooy (bap. 27 Nov 1753) who m. Cornelius Bevier was the daughter of Coenrad Vernooy and Margaret LeFever. Coenrad was the son of Cornelius Vernooy Jr. and Sara Ten Broeck, and was baptized 16 October 1715 in Kingston, Ulster Co., NY. Margaret was daughter of Andries LeFever and ____, baptized 13 Mar 1715 in Rochester, Ulster Co., NY.

Cornelius Jr. was the son of Cornelis Cornelissen Vernooy, the immigrant. Sara TenBroeck the daughter of Wessel Wesselse TenBroeck, the immigrant, whose home is now the Senate House Museum in Kingston. There is lots of good stuff on these guys. If you email me your address, I can mail you copies of what I have. I'm a descendant of Cornelius Jr. and Sara, also, and I have siblings, etc. on these families, too, as well as good history stuff.

There was another Cornelius Vernooy who m. a Maria Bevier, also. The Vernooys and Beviers were the first to settle Wawarsing and owned adjacent land, hence all the marriages!

I've found that the Vernooys have not been researched as well as most of the early Dutch families, which is one reason why I posted an offer to help. There is a lot of sorting out still to do.

Sandy
