His wife was Lydia Westvall, daughter of Nicholas Westphael and Sara Van Aken, christened 16 Jan 1726 in Kingston, Ulster Co., NY.
Children: Elizabeth Catherine Vernooy. Christened 18 Nov 1750 m. 5 Oct 1859 to Benjamin Van Gordon
Petrus Vernooy. Christened 25 Feb 1753. Married 1st Hanna Conklin. Married 2nd Mary Westbrrok. Died 26 June 1827
Joseph Vernnoy. Christened 19 June 1757. Married Mary Conklin.
Ursula Vernooy. Born 27 Sept 1759. Married John Conklin
Sarah Vernooy. Born 27 July 1762
Jane Vernooy. Born abt 1764. Married John Tyler
Then on page 212 we have the information on Benjamin's parents:
Johannis C. Vernooy - son of Cornelis Cornelissen Vernooy and Annatje Cornelis. Christened 24 Apr 1681, Old Dutch Church, Kingston, Ulster Co., NY. Married abt 1723. Died after 27 May 1755 (dated on will) and before June 1765 (proving of will). Johannis married Osseltje "Ursula" Westbrook. She was daughter of Johannes Westbrook and Magdalena Jans Decker. Christened 6 Nov 1687, Old Dutch Church, Kingston, Ulster Co., NY. Died during or shortly after the birth of their only child in early 1724. Benjamin was raised by his maternal grandparents.
I am a descendant of Johannis and his second wife: Janneken Louw who Johannis married 26 Nov 1724.
