I'm not 100% sure but "I think" that this Amantha Verner was probably a young widow when she married Jonas Blake in 1883. I'm guessing that she is the 29 year old shown as "Mancy Verner" and a wife in the 1880 census in Cocke Co TN; Jonas Blake is in Greene Co TN; then in 1883 there is the marriage in Jefferson Co TN that you refer to. For a long time I was hopeful that this family could be related to the one I'm researching, but I've since concluded that's not likely.
