Leslie,
In looking at 'our' Giles Vermillion info on line last evening, I did run into a few names that sparked a little interest for a name that I've been researching on my Dillards.
Our Thomas 'Green Berry' Dillard. I found a Greenberry Vermillion, but we have Greenberry Dillard's, also. Then I ran across the name of Rezin (Reason)Powell married to a
Vermillion. Again, Thomas G.B.'s youngest son (1yr.@ the time) has a name on the 1860, Miat Twp., Howell Co., MO Census, that record is just not quite readable on the online or in records copies. I have seen it as Rezney, Reziey, Keziey, etc. You get the picture. Reese had even crossed my mind. We have not been able to find out much else about him. But you know, Reason or Rezin makes a lot of sense. The Milly I questioned about would have been his grandmother. H-m-m-m? Any ideas????
I, also, found where there had been a Thomas Vermillion in NC about the time of our Milly's birth. I have not been able to pull up too many records about the Vermillions of NC, so not exactly sure who all was there at that time.
Thanks a mil,
Sherry Patterson
