I believe this man is shown in the 1900 census of Clay Co. Missouri. He is living with his son James Vermillion.

This is the only time I have seen the name Robert used for him. Always before, he would be listed as R.L. or as Louis/Lewis Vermillion.

This family was originally from Va. Arbermarle?? I think.
they were in Clay Co. by 1850 and into the next century.

Would like to exchange information if possible???
