(While trying to find the parents of my John Vermillion - b. 1 Jan. 1800 in Virginia - d. June 1864 - m. 3 July 1823 to Jane Lane @ Muskingum Co., OH, (b. 8 May 1798 in PA – d. 16 Dec. 1867) residing in Auglaize Twp., Allen Co., Ohio after 1830) – this is a bit of info accumulated. Not much help, I’m sure.

George Vermillion (s/o George Washington & Anney ‘Barberry’ ‘Hardy’ Vermillion)b. 17 Apr 1821 in
N. Lewisburg, Preble Co., Ohio, moved to Hancock county.
He married Sarah Jane Painter born in Ohio. His father, George Washington Vermillion lived and moved with him also. The family is listed in the 1840 and 1850 Census in Hancock County, Ohio, Orange Township.

George Vermillion, Sr. - (Full name George Washington Vermillion, Sr.)b. 26 Dec. 1781 in Maryland – m. to Anney ‘Barberry’ Hardy. A son George Vermillion – b.1821 in N. Lewisbury, Preble Co., Ohio – parents were in their 40’s when George was born - (see Geo. above).
