Check the laws of Ohio. I thought that private cemeteries had to be taken care of and have free access in Ohio. They are now restoring cemeteries as there are societies that now are caring for this. I don't know what all has been done. My husbands family cemetery was sold to a land fill in Gallia Co, Ohio and they removed the bodies and put them in a local cemetery. Hope they put the right names to the bodies. My ggggmother's grave is on private land near the Sandusky River and the stones have been thrown into the river so now we have no idea who is all there. The place was started in the 1840's during a typhoid out break.
There is no respect for the living so it's not surprising to see it applied to the dead.
Linda
