Ihave a John W. Percell/Purcell b:1854 that married Margaret Whitsel. John is listed in the 1880 Edgar Co., Illinois census with Father Joseph Purcell 74 (abt 1806), which the census states he (Joseph) and his parents are from Va. I beleve this Joseph may be the Joseph that married Margaret Vermillion 1841. I can not find Joseph in the 1870 census. John was born in Illinois so that would mean that joseph had to be in Illinois in 1870. Thanks for any help or ideas.
