I have no documents on this family line in my file. My information was obtained fromIra Vermillion (deceased), Richard E. Vermillion of Colorado, and Charlene K. Dunlap (deceased), all of whom have done meticulous research through the years. I would suggest that you visit Genealogy.com, Ancestry.com and the Latter Day Saints web site for family history -- you will find a wealth of information, some of it accurate and some inaccurate, on these sites. Ancestry.com and Genealogy.com require that you purchase memberships to access their census info, but it is very good info. I am related to this line as a half second cousin four times removed of Jackson Perry Vermillion -- his grandmother was Mildred Vermillion, sister of my fourth great-grandfather, Uriah Vermillion. Mildred (b. 1749) married her first cousin, Edward Robert Vermillion (b. 1744). Edward was the son of James Vermillion (b. 1710) and Mildred was the daughter of Robert F. Vermillion (b. 1725). James and Robert F. were sons of Giles Vermillion Sr. (b. 1685) and Jane Hutchison (b. 1686).
Now for an interesting side light -- your Taylor Vermillion had an older brother named Albert Weston Vermillion. Albert's descendants live mostly in southern California and Texas. These people would be your first cousins (several times removed, I should think). I am flying to California later in June to attend their family reunion. Contact me by e-mail at some future time and I will share my data base outline (in pdf format) with you.
Douglas M. Vermillion
