I do not know whether or not Robert Aiken ventured to Texas in that year, but he did marry Diapa Young. I did not have a date for their marriage and I would appreciate any info on Diapa Young or Robert Aiken as I have no data on their children (if they had any). Robert was born Oct. 2, 1838 in Montgomery County, VA and died August 3, 1908 (I have no verification of where he died or is buried). Diapa was born June of 1839 in Mississippi, according to the information I received. That is all I know at this point.
