Hi, Nancy!
Thanks for the info . . . and I should tell you that since I posted the message to which you replied I have already obtained a complete pedigree on Matilda (b. 1804) as the daughter of Hezekiah (b. 1777) and Elizabeth Gloyd.
My info came from Richard Vermillion and was confirmed by at least three other sources whose names I cannot immediately recall. One of those sources also cited the Crupper family connection.
Matilda was the fourth of eight children born to Hezekiah and Elizabeth. Hezekiah was the eleventh of fourteen children born to Edward and Mildred . . . and I also have all of the "storied" history about Edward and Mildred, including the fact that both Hezekiah and Zachariah lived for a time with their grandparents, Robert F. and Elizabeth, which is why some people believe they were sons rather than grandsons of Robt. and Eliz.
I would enjoy sharing more with you -- e-mail me sometime around Christmas and maybe we can each learn something new about our Vermillion family connections. Thanks!
