There is a John Brady (Bradey) Vermillion that lived around Altoga, Texas, which was in Collin County. McKinney is the County seat. Brady was one of many children of James Harvey Vermillion. I'm descended from Samuel Bell Vermillion, one of uncle Brady's brothers. There is a Vermillion Reunion every year at 1st Baptist Church of Altoga on July 4th. Any one would be welcome!

Uncle Brady's descendants are always the biggest crowd that shows up. Roll is called for each branch of the family to see who is there, and to get news of latest births or deaths. After a brief service, there is a pot luck lunch in the church social hall.

My information is that James Harvey was the son of James Vermillion, not Reason. James and his wife are buried in Arkansas (Indepencence County, I think.) my mother has a cousin who doesn't get on the internet but does have email and who has more info than I do. Try:

She and her husband Joe are retired College professors and keep busy, but she'd respond if she could help you.
