James Vermillion - Born c1800 NC
Posted by: John Minke Date: January 23, 2001 at 12:59:59
  of 1041

My wife' great grandmother was Maggie, d/o
James Vermillion and Nancy, who had at least
7C. Maggie (born 1837) married George H. Griffin and had 7C.

James appears to be the only child (have not
found others) of Samuel Vermillion (1755-1837), who was born MD and died in Macon Co, NC and also a Rev War vet. From him
my records have him back through John (1712)
to Giles, per Vermillion Family genealogy by Ira Vermillion, page 56.

I'm not sure validity of this work and wonder
who else knows this particular line.

Children of James and Nancy went to TN and
then to AR (particularly Batesville area).
