In my research into the origins of the Vermillions, I encountered information about a book entitled "The Trail of the Huguenots" by Reamen. On page 73, the author is reported to mention a Sir Cornelius Vermillion, a Flemish engineer knighted by King Edward VI around 1626 for his work on numerous projects. Sir Cornelius is thought to have lived in the area near Harvard, England and was, in part, a responsible party in the establishment of several churches for French Huguenots/Calvinists in both the London and Southampton areas.
Does anyone know anything about this? Would anyone who does be willing to share their knowledge with me? If anyone has seen this book, will you tell me where you located it? It would be greatly appreciated!
Also, if anyone has any information regarding the Vermillions who lived in England, Wales or Europe I would appreciate hearing from you! Thank you.
