Hello Gwenitta-
Re. Uriah/Zach/Military Service. According to the info I have which came from Auther Wayne Vermillion, Uriah served in Co. 1, 11th Battalion, Prince Georges Co., MD from April 1781 to October 1781 under the command of Col. William Lyles. This was during the time that the British had the Potomac blockaded. Victor Vermillion gave you the name of Capt. Hezebeth Wheeler as another officer which was probably Uriahs immediate Superior Officer. The source for this info was cited as Revolutionary Papers, Box 6, Folder 21, at Annapolis, MD. I couldn't find anything on a Zachariah in the Civil War. My records only include two Zach's and both of them would have been a little too old for the Civil War, although it's possible. But no service info in my files for either of them. Sorry, maybe someone has some other Zach's.
I hope this helps a little
Ruth
