Isaac Vermillion born 19 Jul 1854 in Barry County, Missouri, was the son of Uriah and Matilda Etheridge Vermillion (note: Malinda Vermillion was Uriah's older sister born in 1824). Isaac married Nancy Williams on 3 Jul 1881 in Lawrence, Barry County, Missouri. This couple had one child I have identified and documented, and her name was Clara E. Vermillion born in 1886. If he is indeed the same Isaac that married Sarah Mattingly in 1874, does anyone have documentation that shows he was the same Isaac who married Sarah, and that she either died or that the couple were divorced before 1881? Also, were there any children of this marriage? I have never found children. I know the documentary evidence of this marriage is in the Barry County Marriage Record, enrty #516, and I suspect you are correct, but I have seen no additional documentation that leads me to conclude, at this point, that the Isaac who married Sarah Mattingly was the son of Uriah and Matilda.

Isaac's death certificate shows he was the son of Uriah and Matilda Vermillion, that he was widowed, that his late wife's name was Nancy A., and that his daughter, who was listed as informant on the DC, was named Clara Wormington. He died in Cassville, Missouri, on 27 Sep 1937.

I would appreciate any additional documentation anyone could provide about this marriage. I wil share what I know (this is part of my family line) and what documentation I have in exchange for additional documentation.
