I am looking for information on the family of Mariah Verity. Mariah was born August 10, 1839 in Durham county England and was my gr gr grandmother. She married Corp. Robert N. Knox Nov. 20, 1858 in Hocking County Ohio I believe in Nelsonville. She died in Coulumbus Ohio Sept. 28, 1937. Her mother was Elizabeth Verity b. April 1, 1816 in Bouthwaite Yorkshire England d. April 6,1885 Nelsonville Ohio. Wed Francis (Frank) Dewhurst Sept. 17, 1842 Middlesmoore Parish of KiekbyMalzerad County of York. Frank was bornMay 3. 1813 Ray-Gill House Pateley Bridge Yorkshire England d. July 22, 1887 Nelsonville Ohio. Elizabeths father was Thomas and he was a labourer. Mariah seem to have been a bastard child Frank was her step father.
