Hunt/Vere/Cruiese

I have the following information from a tombstone in Lockeen Parish Church Yard, County Tipperary: " ... Likewise beloved mother Mary Ann Curess, otherwise Hunt, daughter of William Hunt Glangoal, esquire, and niece of Sir V. E. Hunt of Cur[...] of Country Limerick, [she] departed this life 2 April 1802, aged 44, May they rest in peace" Mary Ann married M. Thomas Cruess. The Cruesses were from Lackah House, County Tipperary. The names Hunt and Vere are persistant male names though 1920 in my immediate family. Can anyone help me connect this William to Sir V. E. Hunt. Many thanks, Marybelle Bolger Tutt
