I am descended from John Deaver (1657-1729/30), Gilbert Deaver's brother, so that would make us distant cousins. Here is what I have on Richard Wilmont Deaver:
Richard Wilmont Deaver was born about 1627 in Scotland. He immigrated on 12 Dec 1659 on the ship Lionheart, with Grace Fitzmorris, from Lester WIlliams Research. He died on 5 Feb 1700/1 in St. James Parish, Anne Arundel Co., MD. He was buried on 8 Feb 1700/1 in St. James Parish, Anne Arundel Co., MD. On December 13, 1662 Richard Deaver received a grant of land which is called "Plantacon".
Mentioned in Maryland "Records of Land Patents, 1633-1680" Arrived 1658-service. Recorded as Richard and Grace Dever.
Property: July 23, 1658, 100 acres, Land Office Patent O.P. Hall of Records, Liber Q, Folio 72: Servitude completed.
Deed from R&G Deavor dated April 1, 1666 (signed RD) to Ralph Williams...This tract a grant to Richard Deaver on August 4, 1664 called "Alltogether" lying north side of Severn River.
Name given as Richard Devor Sr. in St. James Parish records on death and burial.
