Hi James,
Are you asking about Juan Diego Verdugo who married Maria Ig. Concepcion Carillo? They are listed in Familias de Culiacan by Antonio Nakayama. He was from Sinaloa, not Spain. Their daughter Juana Maria married Roque Jacinto Cota. Not Lopez. However, their daughter Maria Josefa Cota married into the Feliz family and their daughter did marry a Lopez.
