Joan Verdoorn:

I found the name: Hiram P. Perkins listed on Family Search.org with your name listed as contributor. A Hiram P. (maybe Parker) Perkins is listed there as having been born on 29 Sep 1815 in Dresden, Muskingum, OH, and died abt 1873 in MO.
A 'Hiram Perkins', married to Annis Chloe Runnels (Reynolds in some places, including DAR) was born in
1) OH
2) VT

One of their sons, my great grandfather, Abiel Jacob Perkins, was born in IA, and an older brother, Parker Perkins, was born in Dresden, Muskingum Co. OH. I have found, several places, that Hiram P. Perkins was born in 1816 in VT. We're pretty sure that he died in MO and know that his wife, Annis, moved back to IA and is found as a widow in the 1880 census.

We have information that is very close. Do you think we are 'talking' about the same person?

I have found Hiram P. Perkins and Annis in the 1850 Census for Muskingum Co. OH. However, he is listed as having been born in VT, as is his wife.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Patti
