Have you also searched under Vrba? This is the true Czech spelling. My grandfather added the e to his name somewhere around 1910. My family settled in Cleveland around that time. Ancestors I have information on go back to Beroune when it was still part of Austria in 1859. My greatgrandfather was Antonin Vrba, son of Antonin Vrba and Josefy Skalove. My great grandmother was Anna Samanova Vrbova (feminine form of vrba)daughter of Prokopa Saman and Marie Wunschove. Antonin and Anna had sons Josef, Dominic, Vaclav and daughter Antonette. So, I don't think we have a connection unless it's much further back.
