Hannah VANTREE was born 1619 and married the father of Daniel Brainerd (Jr?). The father may also have been named Daniel. Daniel Jr. was a prominent founder of Haddam, CT. On some web pages, Hannah's surname is shown as VENTRES.
William VENTRUS' will was proved 10 Jul 1701 in Haddam, CT. One of the executor's was Daniel Brainard (III), the son of Daniel Brainard Jr.
In his will, William VENTRUS says: "It is my will that my two sons John & Moses VENTRUS pay unto their sister Susanna BRAINWOOD, my daughter, each of them £5 in provision pay..." Brainwood is one of many well-documented versions of Brainard. Susannah was the wife of Daniel (III).
Posts in this forum refer to ancestors named VENTRIS who lived in Haddam.
I would like to know if all of these spellings represent the same family line, as they seem to.
