I am searching for information on my grandfather, Raymond Victor Woods B: 3 Oct 1895 or 96. He was a stowaway at agie 8 on a vessel captained by W.H. Thorbourn from Nova Scotia Canada. At that time, he could not speak or write English and had very little education. Capt. Thorbourn eventually became his guardian and raised him in Lower Jordan Bay, Nova Scotia where he married my grandmother Dorothy Hemeon. I assume that Woods was not his birth name but am hoping that some of his relatives may recognize his birth date and circumstances. Any info would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
