I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I'm interested in the Carpenters also. Trying to track my Carpenter line down. Do you know anything about this George Carpenter who married Polly Vendrick in Craven Co. 1785? George seems to run in my line of Carpenters' and I keep getting pointed back to this one. My last George was in Franklin Co. GA. abt 1801, believe he had a son named George that married Nancy Hendricks, then they poped up in Dekalb Co. GA. abt. 1820s'.I believe they might have came from Pendleton,S.C. before Ga. Not for sure, but the surnames of families associated with my Carpenters in Dekalb are Spruill, Martin, Copeland, Ball, Anderson, Powers, Hammonds and a few more. Does any of these sound familar to you and do you have any info on what happened to this George & Polly?
