This may not help you - but who knows! My grandmother
was Alma Amanda Haskett who married Henry Brian Bennett.
Amanda's mother was Mary Elizabeth Vendrick, daughter of
John Vendrick and Mary Ann (Vendrick?). Mary Elizabeth Vendrick was born December 18, 1844.
She married David Haskett in 1865. David had been married twice before her
but most of his children was by Mary Elizabeth.
I've been searching without success for other siblings of
John and Mary Ann.
I also know from my grandmother and my dads conversations that there were some Broghton's in our
family. Again I have't found but one connection and that was on my grandfather Henry's side.
His sister, Elvira married a Rawls who was related to the Broughton's.
I would like to get some of this cleared up.
I did not know that Grandmother Amanda's mother was a Vendrick until I checked Social Security Records.
The John and Ferebee names are very popular names in my family. I'm sure there are more connections but where? All these were from the Craven/Pamlico County area of NC, especially the Arapahoe area. Does any of this ring a bell?
I would appreciate any links you might have so I can fill
in blanks. I'll be happy to help you any way I can.
Billy Bennett, Statesboro, GA
