My brother found this on Abraham the emigrant to VA 1685...was Jr. his son?
Abraham owned a great deal of land in Hanover, Louisa, and Goochland Counties, VA. He was one of the first Justices of Peace of Louisa, from the first Co., Court, Dec 13th, 1742. He was Captain in the Colonial Militia; for a time County Lieutenant of Louisa, and for some 20 years member of the House of Burgesses from Louisa Co. He was a friend, legal client, and political supporter of Patrick Henry.
He is said to have been the most influential man of his name that ever lived in VA.
His will is dated 11 Apr1768. He died 16Dec1768 and his will probated Jan 9th the following year.
He appointed, "my friend Patrick Henry Tr." (Abbreviation for Trustee?). The executors W. Thompson and my sons Abraham Venable and Nathaniel Venable, and Hugh Lewis and Jno.
