Hi Carmen,

There are several Velasco lines in Puerto Rico, and there are several people researching them; I'm one of them. Most of the Velasco in Puerto Rico are descendants from Jose de Velasco Sanchez, who married Lucia Quijano Ruiz circa 1780. They initially established in Añasco, PR but their oldest son, Vicente Velasco Quijano transferred the linage to Sabana Grande when he married María Cristina Soltero circa 1830's.

It could be possible that your 3rd grandmother belongs to this linage since Vicente Velasco Quijano had six brothers: Pedro, Jose Franco, Ygnacio, Fernando, Antonio Abad, and Basilio. Unfortunately, I don't have any more information on Vicente's brothers. Please let me know if any of them is your ancestor, since I'm building the descendant's tree of Jose de Velasco Sanchez.
