This may or may not help you. I was at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Illinois yesterday and came across some Vedders while searching for my gr-gr-grandparents, Carl amd Sophia Strandt (who were definitely buried there but of course I didn't find). I have Vetter relations so I make it a habit to take photos of all the gravestones with similar spellings just in case they may help someone along the way. There was one large family headstone, gray granite and a smaller white headstone. I found the following information on them: Husband and Wife Philip Vedder B. 3-21-1804 D. 1-23-1885 Margaret Vedder B. 4-29-1810 D. 11-28-1856 Husband and Wife Almon Vedder, son of Philip B. 1825 D. 1907 Louise Baldwin, wife of Almon B. 1839 D. 1901 Margaret, daughter of Philip B. 1836 D. 1919 There was a separate stone with Philip's wife Margaret's name on it. It was one of the old white, faded types. The death date matched that of the Margaret above. It says, Margaret Vedder Died 1856 Aged 46 years, 7 months. I have digital photographs of these headstones and would be happy to send them to you if you email me at: woozlemonster@aol.com Hope this helps you or someone else in search of Vedders!
