The only infomation I have about William Cook and Polly or Pally Veasey is a story told by a grandaughter of Mary Cook, Ollie Mae(Webb)Crenshaw.
"Mary had a sister named Martha, who was about 3 years older and it is thought her mother had a son who died not long before she did. Mary's father remarried after her mother died, and his new wife did not want to raise the girls so they asked Ezekiel and Rachel to keep them, and soon after they moved to Texas."
The only parts of that story I can confirm is that Mary had a sister named Martha and that they lived with Ezekiel and Rachel Veasey.
Mary (Cook) Webb's death certificate says her father was Wm. Cook and her mother was Veasy.
Ezekiel and Rachel were members of Moriah Baptist Curch of Christ as was Martha. William Cook is also listed as a member, that could be the girls father http://www.rootsweb.com/~albutler/churches/moriahch.htm
I got the first name for Pally Veasey from http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:3168225&id=I78 she was the only daughter of Ezekiel and Rachel that didn't die before Mary was born or that was married to someone else
