Hi I 'm checking up on an old family legend that a great great grandparent left england cos he was going to be forced to marry a neighbour's daughter and migrated to australia some time LATE 19th century? to nsw and sydney probably
if anyone has a missing relative in their tree
I'ld love to know? Perhaps I could fill in a branch.
All i know is that he's probably from the minor gentry branch not the major aristos? and that our 'vauxs"
came over from france after the war of the roses and were chevaliers there?
the relative who told the story is deceased and didnt left notes or a family bible! unfortunately!
