Hi! My name is Brenda. I am looking for information about my great great great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Vaught (Parry). Mary was born 2-24-1858 in Lavaca County, TX and died 8-15-1935, in Corpus Christi, TX. She was the daughter of either James Vaught and Miss Tucker or John V. and Mary E. Vaught, her brother was Jim Vaught of Ore City, TX. She died in Corpus Christi, Tx and is buried in the Sunshine Cemetery with her huband, the late Reverend John James Parry 1849-1920, from England or Wales. Her husband had been a Merchant Marine, left the service in 1872 at the Port of Galveston, TX, he met her somewhere in Tx, they traveled all over the state, finally moving to Corpus Christi, TX in 1901. They had 11 children: John Henry Parry (my gr-gr-grandfather who married Nellie Eads my gr-gr-grandmaother), Thomas E. Parry, Jesse Leopold Parry, Frederick E. Parry, Newton David Parry, Theordore Isaac Parry, Robert Lee Parry, John P. Parry, Raphael Pinkney Parry, Sr., Mary Marie Parry Franklin, Mina Zannie Parry.
If you have any information on Mary or her ancestors, I would deeply appreciate a reply. I was told her parents may have come from Georgia or Connetticut, I cannot validate this information at this time. The only thing I do know is that she was born in TX and she died in TX.
