I am also a direct descendant of Raimon Vessiere of Arkansas Post AR. I also have a lot of info on the line, but I have his wife as Jacinta Manuela de Torres of the Kingdom of New Mexico. I have that LaRose was a nickname that eventually stuck. His son Francois sometimes went by Vessiere and sometimes by LaRose and some records show both names.

Raimond Vessiere was a native of Falaise in Normandy and a wheelwright by occupation. He left France to come to New Orleans in 1756. His parents were Augustin Vessiere and Cecile Benoist (this was on the record of his immagration).

I do not have the name of the wife of Francois - possibly he was married more than once. One record has Mary and another has Elizabeth. Do you have any info on who she is?

I have more info if needed.
