my husband has an uncle whose name is also Richard,named after who he called uncle Dick Vassar. His uncle dick married Mary Alice Taylor 12-21-1879 This Richard Vassar's half brother was my husbands grandfather, Walter Langly Vassar, who married Alice walker in Botetrout. They move to Ohio. I live at Smith Mt. Lake, Va. very close to Roanoke.I have lots of info about this family. Susan Kellam was my husbands great great grandmother.
