Do you think that this "Reuben Vass" is the son of John Vass, the clery of the vestry of South Farnham Parish of Essex, and Rachel Pendleton of Essex, Virginia?

I understand that Reuben Vass fought in the War of 1812 and the Revolutionary War and he marched with Patrick Henry
to recover Gun Powder from the British in 1775.

All else that is known about him is that he was a Lieut. and served in the French and Indian War. Was a Sargent on Peachey's roll at age 24. Was born in 1732 in Essex Co., Va. Was a "joiner", of "ruddy" complexion with black curley hair and stood 5'9 1/2 inches tall.

Please tell me if 'anything' else is known about Reuben.

Thanks,
Aunt Gail Vass
