James...thank you for this info. I do have some questions & corrections.

You say that Elizabeth Hobbs Weeks md. John Vaus/Vass in Jan. 1687, however, Francis Weeks' father, Abraham names him in his Will, as well as having him as an executor written in Jan. 1691. If he was deceased, why was he named as an executor in his father's Will?

Also: "Francis Weekes gave bond as sheriff of Middlesex May 10, 1697 and as Francis Weekes, Gent was a Justice of that County in 1700 and 1702. There is on record in Lancaster a Deed dated May 31, 1687 and recorded April 8, 1702 from Francis Weekes of Middlesex, Gent. and Elizabeth his wife, conveying to Andrew Jackson 350 acres in Lancaster called Fairweather, lately purchased from Mr. Rawleigh Travers."

In "Christ Church Parish Register, Middlesex Co., VA", p. 38, there is an entry Anno Domini 1706...The Birth of Negroes belonging to M' Frances Weeks Sen'.

So, James, I believe that the above documentation shows that John Vaus/Vass did not marry the widow of Francis Weeks as Francis was still alive as late as 1706.

You also said that John Vaus md. 1st Lettice Obert. I don't know one way or another as to whether that is accurate, but I do know that on p. 18 of CCPR for Middlesex Co., there is the following entry:

"John Vause and Elizabeth Calloway were md. p. Lycence 14 June 1679". This Elizabeth d. Dec. of 1679 and was buried 25 Dec. (CCPR, p. 22).

You stated: "Millicent Weeks, daughter of Abraham and Millicent, married John Jones who was the son of Rice Jones and his wife Margaret. John Jones d.s.p. and his widow Millicent married secondly James Blaise (Blaze) of Middlesex who was the son of William Blaise of Middlesex (will Feb 1674-5 Jul 1675). James Blaise survived his wife Millicent and married Elizabeth Montague who had married first Doodes Minor and second Maurice Cocke both of Middlesex. By Minor, Elizabeth Montague had sons Minor and Garrett and daughter Mary. James Blaise's sister Sarah married Marvel Mosely."

According to Montague, Minor, and Cocke historians, Elizabeth Montague outlived all three of her husbands, so Millicent Weeks could not have md. James Blaise/Blaize.

"Elizabeth (Montague) Minor m. 2nd Maurice Cocke, 3rd James Blaise. Middlesex County Deed Book 3, 1709-1720, p. 250, Antient Press: Marriage Agreement between Elizabeth Cocke
and James Blaise bound to William MONTAGUE to pay Peter MINOR, Son of Elizabeth his Estate when he reaches age of twenty one."

Please see the following:

The record of a Millicent Jones, Executrix of John Jones, marrying James Baise 1694 was in Essex Co. (Essex Co., VA Marriages, 1655-1900...Bk: 01, p. 209), so I believe this is a different Jones family.

In addition, Abraham's Will indicates that Francis was his only son, as you indicated, but he also had daughters, Lettice, Mary and Elizabeth besides Catherine and Millicent.
