James Blaise survived his wife Millicent and married Elizabeth Montague who had married first Doodes Minor and second Maurice Cocke both of Middlesex. By Minor, Elizabeth Montague had sons Minor and Garrett and daughter Mary. James Blaise's sister Sarah married Marvel Mosely.

Their children included Elizabeth who married Thomas Meriwether; Frances; and Catherine Williamson who married about 1722 Capt. William Young of Essex (d. 1719). Catherine and William Young (d. 1719) had issue William, Elizabeth, Henry (d. 1750), Catherine, John (d. 1749) and Williamson (d. 1750).

After the death of Capt. William, Catherine married Thomas Montague (son of William) who died 1721. Catherine married third Richard Tyler Jr. of Essex by whom a daughter "Frankey" who married Richard Gatewood Jr. of Essex.
