Following taken from debt books of Dorchester County, MD and relate to taxes on various tracts of land
Ebenezer VAULX, "Good Luck," 40 acres, surveyed 10/12/1752.
James VAULX: "Mount Pleasant," 100 acres, surveyed 5/3/1740; "Vaulx's Addition," 93 acres, surveyed 7/31/1740.
An estimate of Ebenezer Vaulx's age can be ascertained from the Land Commission records of Dorchester. In a proceeding (9 Nov 1762-9 May 1763), the court issued a commission to Nathaniel Potter, Samuel Fountain, Thomas Baynard and Thomas White of Dorchester, gentlemen, to perpetuae bounds of Wm. Berry's Land called "Fortin," affected by an older survey called "Adventure". Several individuals were deposed as part of the proceeding including EBENEZAR VAUX of Dorchester "aged about 48 years."
