I am the great great grandson of John and Dorcas. Their children were William (1822-?) (my great grandfather), Crown (1825-1907), 3 more boys and 4 girls (I have names and birth dates). All the children were born in Edmonton (London) and Crown died at West Ham (London). I also have a copy of John Dickinson Vass’s last will and testament.
John’s father was Thomas Vass – he was baptised in 1762 at Bayford, Hertfordshire and married Rebecca Dickinson in 1786 at Bayford. His father was Daniel Vass, who married Mary Squires in 1758 at Bayford.
