i have some info for you.my great-grandparents were casper and pauline vasicek, from czechoslovakia. my grandfather's name was george vasicek and he was one of thirteen children (most of them older) that lived here in michigan.Baldwin, to be exact.i'm 24 to give you an idea, and he was born in 1922.
i don't know if you know this but casper, who was married to my great-grandmother and whom he came over with, was a gangster for capone.my grandfather hated him. to this day, he will not talk of his father (my grandpa is now 82). the only times george (my grandfather) saw him was very seldom, not a regular schedule, and he left all the working, house, kids, etc. to pauline (my grandmother).
i have never seen a picture of him.from my own opinions and what i have kind of gathered from my family, he wasn't the best role model.
draw from this what you will.i hope this has given you a little more on the vasicek name (mostly centered around baldwin, mi).good luck on your quest as that is as far i have gotten.
