VARNES - Carroll Co., Indiana
Posted by: John D. Varnes Date: July 17, 2000 at 16:08:48

Am aware that Varnes' lived in Carroll Co.IN in middle 1800s. I recall having run across 1850 census where a James Varns (or Varnes) was listed for Delphi, Carroll Co. Anybody shed any light on his roots and descendants? Also found that a Harrison(?) Varnes served an enlistment in Ind. Company in Civil War from Carroll Co. Again, anybody know his roots and descendants? I am really curious.
Thanks, fellow Varnesophytes.
